August 13, 2007 2:00 AM I know I've said that I would no longer be doing an army system, but I am, and this one will be more realistic. And it will take a while to create. Basically, you start as one Koopa, and you get to name your town. Your town's population will vary from 20-30 Koopas in the beginning. The Koopas will all be different, from male to female, even with different personalities, ages, and names. You decide that you need an army for protection, and that is where you begin. First, you must recruit Koopas from your town to be in the army, but nobody knows about your plan, so you must inform them and convince them to join your army. You can post flyers around the town, put ads in the newspapers, and much more, all costing points. Then, some koopas will start to show up at your office to join your army. You can set the pay you will give all recruits, but the lower the pay, the less Koopas will want to join. After you recruit koopas, you must equip them each with weapons and defences. Each Koopa comes with no weapon and no defence. You have many weapons to choose from, from pitchforks to axes, and defences, from sheilds to magical armor. Each koopa can have one weapon and one defence. Some of the people in your town that didn't join may give you donations from time to time. When you have a small army, you can either buy weapons of mass destruction (cannons and catapults) or upgrade the defences of your town (walls, turrets, etc.) as long as you have the points. You can also buy medkits, stronger shells, flying shells, and more from the war factory. Beware though; some of your recruits can quit, get injured and quit, or even betray you. Betrayal happens when another army that wants more people offers some of your army money to join them, even to take some of your weapons. A large group can betray, so be on the lookout for strange behavior in your recruits. You can make points by raiding other towns or cities, other Jgames user's towns or cities. If you succeed, you take points from the other user, and if you killed some of the other koopas, you will take their weapons and defences. Most of the time, the other town's koopas will flee if they are losing, but sometimes they don't have time to flee, so you completely destroy their town. If you lose, your remaining koopas will return to your town. If you were attacked, but your koopas fled, you will have to repair the damage on the town, which can cost a LOT, depending on how much the other army destroyed. If you can't repair the town, it will become vulnerable, and some koopas will leave the town if their houses don't get repaired. Your town grows over time, when more koopas visit and decide to stay, and when the koopas have babies. Sometimes boo armies and goomba armies will visit for a bit and aid you in battle, but will leave in a few days' time. When your koopas get too old, they will leave and live in your town until they die of old age. You can buy research to create new, more advanced weapons and defences. If all of the koopas in your army and town die, you lose the game, and have to start over from the beginning. Besides all these main features, there are more, smaller things, like fights, dinners, and letters from home. You also need to feed your troops while on the road. Buy food and drink from the town store. This RPG does NOT have 'instant attack', in other words, you click on somebody's name and you're instantly at their town. It will take around 24-30 hours to arrive at your destination. While you're travelling, you can turn back and recieve mail and more. If somebody is travelling toward you, you can see in your status menu, it will say that your town is in danger of attack soon. The worst time to be under attack is while your army is travelling. October 16, 2007 2:00 AM This sounds interesting, the old one was mostly based on points so if you had a lot you could get a big army, then kill people easily and get more points making it a vicious and boring cycle. Hopefully this one will be better and a lot more fun ---------- |

October 17, 2007 2:00 AM i think there needs to be something that puts a limit on your power, like if you get rich but dont increase their pay they might desert/betray you more because you're hoarding it and not rewarding them, so that if somebody gets lucky or something and gets way more points than others they wont be unstoppable ---------- |

Also i have a new idea.. i think! its kinda expanding nova's alliance idea: you can attack others in your alliance but that is BETRAYAL and removes you from the alliance you can help others attack towns you can send points/soldiers to somebody you can elect a "leader" of the alliance that, if destroyed, will break apart that alliance and the alliance itself will have to start over as well! ---------- |
